Australia to become much harder for emmigrants
11. November 2008
Australia has announced that due to the global finance crisis that it will be slashing numbers of migrants from 2009 in a bid to protect the jobs for Aussies.
Australians will also be relieved to hear this as many of them feel their country is being swamped by migrants from all corners of the globe.
Australia has seen a massive influx of people over the last few years.

Good advice - Don’t burn your bridges with the UK
1. October 2008
Don’t burn your bridges as Oz ain’t all milk and honey.
I’ve been here a long time and I can think of a dozen places I (personally) would rather live… including Blighty.
It all depends what sort of person you are. For some folks Oz is ideal. For me it stinks.
* If you like to talk about nothing but footy, beer and cars, and practically nothing else; if you like nothing but BBqs for entertainment and social interaction, you’ll love the place. (A gross generalization for sure, but not far wrong)
* If you are fond of culture, history, diverse forms of entertainment and pastimes, proximity to Europe, you will seriously miss home.
* A lot of the social ills of the UK are also present in Oz, it’s just a bit more spreadout.
Like I said, a certain sort of Pom really likes it here, many go back, and many more stay but really miss the UK.
Oz used to be a much easier country to be poor in than the UK. That is changing very rapidly

Reasons to return to the UK
16. August 2008
It’s the vibrancy of the UK,the closeness to Europe, the atmpsphere, the history, the variation in weather, the football(real football),the radio stations, the TV,the supermarkets, the countryside, the cheap flights to great destinations and the ruggedness of the Scottish highlands.
It’s also the great camping spots which are safe for your kids to play in and around without fear of snakes or spiders that will kill you,the multicultural feel of the place, the friendly people, the good real ales, the friendly atmospheric pubs.

Why is the UK better than anywhere else?
8. August 2008
Here are some recent comments from an expat returning to the UK….from the USA
1) people in the UK are much more friendly, genuine and kind hearted.
2) much more secure and stable life compared to the US, i.e NHS, Safety net, which I didn’t appreciate prior to leaving the UK but after living in the US missed having that secure feeling.
3) Weather pleasant and NOT hot and humid. Can actually go for a nice walk without sweating and needing a shower 4 times a day in the summer time.
4) So much choice with food and clothes.
5) Felt alive because of the small talk, lot of people buzzing around and not a feeling of isolation.
6) great to walk around the towns and be able to walk to the shops instead of driving.
7) driving was a pleasure with educated drivers.
great to stop off at a country pub and have a swift shandy.
9) loads of great places to walk and kids loved visiting the farm parks.
10) great long evenings not going dark till 9.30pm.
11) nice to watch UK tv.
12) nice to hear UK accents all around.

Transit Lounge = New Zealand
22. July 2008
If you want to get into Australia and fry for the rest of your life then head to the transit lounge that is New Zealand.
New Zealand has been described by UnitedFuture leader Peter Dunne as “a giant transit lounge”, with South Africans leading the charge across the Tasman.
Figures from the Labour Department, issued under the Official Information Act, show that nearly 20 per cent of the 37,000 New Zealanders who declared they were intending to remain in Australia either permanently or for at least a year were born outside New Zealand.
In 2003, 4187 citizens born outside New Zealand moved to Australia. By last year that figure had climbed to 7159 people.
The country of origin with the most departures was South Africa with 871, followed by India (696) and England (678).

Who will be left in Britain? Not the working or middle classes!
12. July 2008
Britain today is nothing like it was 1000 years ago, 100 years ago or even 10 years ago. Millions of people are coming and going and the social fabric of the country is changing forever.
British society can now be divided into the following social and racial groups.
1. The highest class
The wealthiest people in Britain will not leave because they don’t have to. They have the biggest and best houses in the nicest areas. They can afford to jet of anywhere without worrying about cost. Their children will be at the best private schools. They have nothing to worry about.
2. The newly rich and wealthy immigrants
Again these people have no reason to emmigrate because they have access to all the good things Britain has to offer.
3. Middle classes and Working Classes - these are the people with least to lose and are leaving Britain in droves.
4. Low skilled workers. These poor buggers would like to emmigrate but have fail in the skills requirements and would try Europe but people don’t English enough for them.
5. Unemployed and low socio economic classes - these people have no reason to leave as they get big government handouts and live comfortably off from everyone elses taxes.
6. Immigrants class - these people will continue to flock to Britain until the pound weakens totally against the Euro.
So there you have it. Britain will soon be made up of the very rich, the very poor and immigrants. Hell on earth for anyone left behind outside these groups.

Record Numbers of Kiwis leaving New Zealand
2. July 2008
British expats cannot get enought of New Zealand but that is not case with the locals who are leaving in droves and suggests that NZ might not be all its cracked up to be!
Low wages and mass immigration from Asian countries are the two main reasons why Kiwis are flocking to Australia.
Still want to leave Britain?
