The £10 Poms don’t want you either

April 2009It has been reported in Australia that the original British migrants of the 1950s, the so called 10 pound poms, are not in favour of the mass immigration that first brought them to Australia’s shores all those years ago and they would rather see Aus as a closed shop to people fleeing the UK.

Australia wants native English speakers to take test
Wednesday, den 15. April 2009There is apparent moves by the Australian Government to insist that everyone must take English language test, even if you are from the Mother Country!
It will no longer be assumed that people from English speaking countries can speak good English. For instance 1/3 of children in London do not have English as a first language.
